DISCONNECT THOSE GARDENING HOSES!
When the leaves are changing colors and the outdoor temperatures have dropped, it’s time to think about disconnecting your outdoor hoses. In fact, there's even a National Detach Your Hose Day-October 30th each year!
Why? Leaving them connected in freezing temperatures can cause the water inside to freeze and expand, leading to hose faucets and connected pipes in your home to split and leak (picture examples below).
